This carrier enables you to run a standard 3 oz standard carbine buffer instead of H buffer weights with an FRT.
There is a floating weight in the carrier tail which has a dead blow effect eliminating bolt bounce, and providing enough weight for the FRT to function as intended.
We have tested this successfully with the Hoffman Tactical Super Safety, AS Designs ARC fire FRS, Atrius Development FRS, and Rare Breed FRT. Similarly designed product should work as well.

DBC AR15 carrier chrome line phosphate
After struggling with many spring combinations and buffer weights I decided to order the DBC15 carrier from KAK. This instantly solved my reliability issues. I’m amazed at how well this rifle is now performing and would suggest this carrier to almost be mandatory with the purchase of an FRT. I also consider the price to be fair, especially in light of solving all of my issues instantly.

This DBC appears to be a huge problem solver. I've tried H1 thru H3 buffers. H3 A5 buffers. Rifle length tubes, springs, heavy springs, carbine springs, carbine tubes and a hot mess of it all to make everything from a Franklin Armory binary trigger, Hoffman Trigger kicker, and a couple Atrius FRS's. Definitely buying at least one more DBC and seeing where I can reduce weight again.

This is a fantastic economical alternative to the unobtainable H3 buffers that are very expensive if they can even be found.

It Works
I had a reciprocating weight I’d designed myself which first bent its base plate and then afterwards kept coming delaminated from the loctite / JB weld I used to try to secure it as it kept coming loose. Mine allowed too much travel for the tungsten weight which led to only partially smoothed out operation (still the very occasional light strike) as well as a very inconsistent ejection pattern. They’ve put the work into this KAK bolt carrier to solve all the issues I’ve been fighting and it shows. And if I could link a video believe me, I’d prove it.

Better than replacing a buffer and spring
Solved all my problems when running a frt. tried a h2 and h3 buffer with a flat spring still got light strikes. This dbc fixed it and now it runs perfectly highly recommend getting one of these, don’t waste time and money with springs and buffers weights
