So many carbine buffers so little money

    Posted by Greyk9 on October 3, 2016

I bought 5 of these tungsten weights, now instead of 3 carbine buffers I have 2 H2's and 1 H1 for the cost of one complete buffer. Now my rifles running smooth and happy.

    Great product

I had a few generic carbine buffers around and these are a great find, just pop that roll pin out and swap one of these weights out for one of the steel weights in the standard buffer and you have an H1, swap two for an H2, 3 for an H3, very cost efficient to just swap weights instead of buying all new complete buffers, use the colored bumpers to distinguish between the buffers you have swapped

decent quality and least expensive way to go

Posted by Ken on August 16, 2016

These seem a bit expensive for little chunks of weight but it's the least expensive way to go (not a complaint of Kak's pricing). The weights were comparable in size to the original steel weights inside of the original "mil-spec" buffer. Pretty straight forward: drive out the roll pin, pull out the "bumper", and swap out the number of tungsten weights you want for the original steel weights. From a cost perspective, I found this to be the least expensive way to test the rifle's function with different weight buffers as opposed to buying four different weight buffers. There's no way to really know which buffer is best suited to your particular gun considering all of the different combinations of components available. Its also a bit less expensive to "upgrade" than buying the heavier buffers outright, especially if you already have a standard weight buffer. I found that these weights did not fit one of the buffers I had on hand but I suspect it's due to an out-of-spec buffer and not Kak's fault - I have no idea where I got the buffer or what brand it might be. Overall, worth the money if you need the heavier buffer. Oh, and Kak was on spot with quick delivery.

Don't buy a whole new buffer if you already have one!

If you need a heavier recoil buffer, simply swap 1,2,or 3 of these with the steel weights in the typical carbine buffer. Way cheaper than buying a whole new buffer, functionally it is exactly the same. Buy multiples at a time to save on shipping. Having a bag of these on hand makes it faster and cheaper to tune a rifle. This is the cheapest price that I've found on the net.

Only place I could find to order individual weights! Is very handy if you want to upgrade your current buffer yourself.

Weights worked great for dialing in buffers for my builds. And fast shipping as always.

    Buffer weight allows customizing !

Posted by Larry D on July 6, 2016

Ordered one of these weights to try to customize a buffer for a 9mm pistol build. The stock 9mm buffer is not customizable. So I ordered one of these weights to modify an H2 buffer. Works great in the 9mm, slowed down cyclic rate a little, but the brass doesn't fly into the county !
