Great product, reliability depends on magazine
Did an 8" 9mm AR pistol build 3 weeks ago and decided to go with the magazine block style because I have a few 80%'rs lying around already. Searched high and low on the interwebs and after reading the comments on this particular mag block I decided this was the best product for the least amount of money. This thing works great, drops in from the top and I did not have to make any adjustments to install. I do recommend using a dremel and polishing the feed ramp, but it is not necessary, although it will reduce feeding problems. Another thing to note is that it is definitely picky with magazines. Took it out yesterday and the parkerized steel ProMag magazine I have gave me some feeding problems. I would shoot about 4 rounds and it would fail to pick up the 5th. No jamming or stovepiping, but I would have to eject the mag (which ProMag steel mags don't easily slide in and out, they are slightly too big and must be forced in) and re insert it and rack the next round. Metalform mags had zero problems and it ran like a champ. With ProMag steel mag, LRBHO only worked about half the time as well. Not really the mag blocks fault but I think potential buyers should know it doesn't really like the cheaper mags. Over all, great product, they are half the price and just as good as the Hahn mag blocks.

First 9MM Build
Want to state up front - #1 This is my 2nd AR build & #2 haven't shot it yet. I have done lots of research though. I've read blogs, reviews, watched YouTube videos, looked at every mfrs. products - read the reviews there, and about the best price/quality seems to be KAK. Little hard to get. You have to wait till they're in stock. Seem to be very well made. Comes in from the top, held in place by a screw washer that catches on the top of the well. Then when you put the bolt release in -- it holds it in. There is a little play in the magwell but that I think is to be expected. I don't think you'd want to have to hammer it in. I was tempted to try to put some set screws in to hold it firmly but I want to see which direction they should come in from. I got a 32 rd mag from Primary and it fits great, locks well. Drops out when you hit the mag release. And you can visibly see that the bolt hold open is going to work by where the follower in the magazine pushes the bolt release is moved to the 'open' position. Obviously not firing it I can't verify that but it sure looks like it's going to work.

9mm Mag Well Adapter
Couldn't be happier with this product. Easy installation, tight fit on a Aero Precision lower. Also purchased the 9mm buffer. Shot the build today and absolutely flawless. Shot both new factory and two different hand loads, all three fed smoothly. Thanks for a great product.

It just works!
Received this for my AR9 build, fit and finish looked good, dropped right in my Anderson Lower. Would have been nice if there were some instruction and the tiny allen wrench that fits the set screws, pretty minor issue tho. After 1 mag where it seems the rounds were sticking a bit on the feed ramps, it started running perfectly with no feed issues whatsoever. Using ASC mags, having issues feeding the last round, pretty sure it is an issue with the mags. LRBHO works when the last round feeds which was about 1/2 the time. Going to try a metalform mag. Mags drop free (ASC mags). I would highly recommend as an alternative to others that cost twice as much, would definitely order again.

Phenomenal for the price
When I first received the 9mm magwell, I was worried about the installation because the whole product seemed a little bent out of shape and non-symmetrical. It was a snug fit in my Anderson lower, but the magazines drop free and the shells eject perfectly. The price and quality cannot be beat, and I'm sure this conversion works just as well as the ones that cost twice as much. I would recommend this to anyone looking to build an affordable 9mm AR.

thank god for unanswered prayers
I originally wanted the glock since I had since I had a glock 19. You know save on magazine costs, have the PERFECT PAIR handgun and rifle that have interchangeable mags. ended up not liking the glock and gave it to my brother. Back to the review, the insert is very easy to I stall, works like a charm and it doesn't break the bank. My favorite part about thing about the mag well insert is waiting g for the the last round to eject and having the bolt lock back, ejecting the mag, slapping in a fresh one, just pressing the bolt release and you are ready to go again! LOVE IT!!!

9mm colt magazine adapter
This is a great magazine adapter. However, there are a few things you should know. ASC magazines did not work at all with my setup the feed lips would not let the bolt to pass through without hanging up. I am using metalform brand magazines and they fit much better. The mag fits snugly in the adapter block and locks in and drops free easily. When cycling rounds by hand I was having frequent misfeeds. I hand polished the feed ramp on the block and polished the opening to the chamber on the barrel and this completely resolved the issue. I put 200 rounds through it yesterday at the range with no issues at all. I am running a KAK 8" value line barrel.

Awesome Product
I bought a CMMG 9mm dedicated lower, but I didn't want to wait the 7+ months to SBR it before I could put an 8.5" barrel on it so I bought this mag block for my SBR'd 5.56 lower and put my shorty upper on it. LRBHO works perfectly, it ejects reliably and it is very solid, no fear of it moving around. The only issue I've had with it that I didn't have with the dedicated 9mm lower is that if I use the mag as a monopod, sometimes the gun will malfunction, but this is for USPSA PCC division so I'll never be shooting like that anyway. All in all I highly recommend this product as an alternative to a dedicated lower.
