AR15 9MM MAG WELL ADAPTOR FOR COLT / UZI STYLE

I received the mag well adapter very quickly from KAK. It went into my registered SBR lower very snug but without too much difficulty. I love the top screw that that keeps it from coming out when the mag release is depressed. The way they made it to operate the standard bolt catch is great since I use this lower for other calibers as well. I had difficulty adjusting the two little set screws on the lower front of the adapter, but the fit in my mag well is so good these set screws are unnecessary. On my first trip to the range I was plagued with numerous failures to eject. With both my hand loaded rounds and a box of Winchester 124gr NATO ammo. I did some research on line and decided to try putting a little bend in the ejector. I bent it in toward the bolt a little and slightly down. Next trip to the range I fired over 100 rounds with no malfunctions of any kind. This was with factory round nose ammo and my light (USPSA) flat nose loads. Locked back every time after the last round on all 4 of my ASC 32 round mags, and my friend's metalform mag. I also bought the 8oz extended carbine buffer to go with this build on my 10.5" PSA upper. Very pleased with reliability and accuracy of this combo. USPSA PCC division here I come.

mag adaptor works very well

Mag lock works great and fits great. Could be steel but aluminum is fine. Only complaint I have is the set screws that tighten the block to the frame are too small and stripped out as soon as you try to tighten them. Need to be bigger

I was originally going to get the Promag and save some $ but this is worth the extra cost. Well made and solid. There is a slight vertical movement when installed but I think it could be from my mag release or possibly be design to account for variances in different magazines. I used an ASC 32-round and two Metalform 32-round mags for my first 250-round range session. Out of 15 total mag loads (didn't always load a full 32 each time), I had 8 perfect mag runs meaning no feed issues or last round bolt hold open issues...perfect. But I did have 7 mag issues where the last round would smash into the feed ramp and the projectile would push into the case. I don't think this is a mag well issue but magazine issues. Still pleased with this mag well adapter.

This is a very well made part. Even though the price may seem a bit high, it's a great value for the price, especially when comparing it to the price of other similar products on the market. It was very easy to install. It slipped right into the top of the mag well and seated firmly when pressed all the way down. Tightening the two set screws at the bottom of the part holds it securely in place. I haven't had a chance to test it yet, as I'm still in the process of getting other parts to complete my 9mm AR. But, I expect it to function well, given the obvious quality of the part.

Built a carbine for myself and showed a friend you liked it so much had me order another adapter for him to build. Function and fit are every thing we expected. Thanks for a great product that works as advertised.
