4.75" 5.56 NATO SS 1:5 TWIST HEAVY PROFILE

I chose to build around this 4.75” KAK 5.56 barrel with their micro gas tube and micro flash can, SOLGW low-pro gas block, BCM blem upper, and a 4.8” Aero Precision R-Series rail on my Daniel Defense lower. Running an H3 buffer, Geissele braided spring, Radian Raptor SD charging handle, Rare Breed FRT, Magpul stock/VFG, DFCO grip and Vortex Triumph Red Dot. First test was three back-to-back 30-round mags and it ran flawlessly with zero tuning. The barrel threads sit basically right above the VFG, but the tucked KAK micro flash can directs the blast forward enough that the setup is actually comfortable and usable. The heavy barrel profile handles heat surprisingly well and is way more accurate than I expected from a 4.75” barrel. (I have been using 62 grain green tips exclusively at this point. Which is what I built this for.) It is extremely loud, but I haven’t found double ear pro necessary. That said, I definitely would not want to touch this thing off without my hearing protection securely in place. Compact, loud, fire-breathing and stupid fun! Exactly what I wanted. Excellent backpack gun. Plan to recreate this exact setup with a law tactical folder and the 4.75 inch 300 blackout barrel offered by KAK. 10 out of 10 definitely recommend.

Very pleased with the barrel, tested everything from 40 grn to 75 grn for any tumbling issues out to 25 yards. None. I would strongly reccomend the heaviest buffer and an adjustable gas block. Only issue I had was the bolt cycling too fast and catching the case of the fired round while loading the next. One H3 and new gas block and runs like a champ.
