KAK BOLT CATCH ROLL PIN STARTER PUNCH

ALSO KNOWN AS WALT'S TOOL...

DO YOU LACK 6 FINGERS AND AN EXTRA HAND WHEN TRYING TO GET THE BOLT CATCH ROLL PIN STARTED ON YOUR BUILD

THIS 304 STAINLESS TOOL IS A LIKE A SURGEON'S INSTRUMENT, BUT DESIGNED FOR A CAVEMAN

SIZED TO HOLD THE BOLT CATCH ROLL PIN STEADY AND GET IT STARTED WITH OUT SCRATCHING UP YOUR LOWER

WE USED DURABLE RUST FREE 304 STAINLESS BUT KEPT THE DESIGN SIMPLE AND TO THE PRICE POINT LOW

ALL ROLL PINS ARE DIFFERENT BEFORE COMPRESSING, IF THEY ARE A LITTLE LOOSE IN THE TOOL USE A DAB OF GREASE IN THE POCKET TO HOLD IT TIGHT, IF IT'S A LITTLE TIGHT, DON'T WORRY, THE HOLE IN THE LOWER IS TIGHTER.. IT WILL RELEASE ONCE STARTED IN THE LOWER..

ONCE THE PIN IS STARTED USE YOUR NORMAL PUNCH TO DRIVE IT HOME AND GET THAT BUILD OUT TO THE RANGE AND BROKEN IN!!

OTHER ALTERNATIVE USES INCLUDE - CHOPSTICKS, SELF DEFENSE, OR MINE PROBING..

If you anticipate yourself building a couple ARs, buy this tool; it makes roll pin installation (especially compared to just using a normal punch) a breeze.

    The best there is.

It's really nice when you find a tool that does a job as good as it gets. I've seen and used quite a variation of this tool from multiple manufacturers and I have to say that this one is the best there is. First off it's made of strong stainless steel which is a definite plus, that make it not only strong but it will never rust. Then you have the length which is just a tad bit longer than most o the market and believe me that little bit of extra length makes a world of difference. Then lastly, it is smooth. No worrying about scratch the receiver when installing the roll pin. Of course it's always a good idea to put a match book cover or other paper or thin cardboard between the punch and receiver but if you don't you are less likely to leave a mark like you will with any other starter punch on the market. Great job KAK. Keep up the great work. I also have the finisher and it is great. All that's left for KAK to make is a roll pin remover in the same configuration and quality as this tool.

    The best I've ever used.

This is truly the best roll pin starter I've ever used. It has a clean finish so it won't damage the receiver like other starters do and it's also made so much stronger than all the other brands out there. Getting ready to order more for my sons as Christmas presents. Will also be ordering several of the punch as well. I wish they made a complete roll pin starter and punch set. out of this same steel and design, I think it would be a big seller. I know I'd be purchasing a set for all my sons. I'm sure it wouldn't be an inexpensive set but it would really be worth every penny.

    Good idea, worth the price.....but

Wish I could have had this years ago. Trying to use a long brass 'drift' to start the roll pin means I have several builds with a small gold streak along the lower, lol. That said; Why did they not make this with the other end as a roll pin punch??? Since everyone always ;) uses a brass or hard plastic mallet, making the opposite end as a roll pin punch makes perfect sense......but alas, I am just an 'ol fart, what do I know?
