I wanted to do a 7.62x39 build and something about the 18" just felt right. I couldn't be happier with going with KAK, excellent quality, price & service. I paired the barrel with the KAK BCG, along with a rifle buffer/stock setup & SI J-comp gen 2 muzzle brake. The rifle cycles smooth as silk, it instantly became my favorite one to shoot. I highly recommend this barrel to anyone considering a slightly longer AR build that doesn't cost an arm & leg to build or shoot. My next build will contain a KAK barrel!

I searched far an wide for this barrel light weight usable accurate chambered in 7.62x39 over 16” just isn’t out there. I found few close usable substitutes nothing with this quality or accuracy. Overall i am out right ecstatic with how great this barrel is and you get it for this price makes it remarkable... this barrel stabilized the cheapest round available nicely and quality ammo a true tack driver

These have a really nice finish to them.Also, the gas port is slightly oversized to compensate for lower gas pressure in mid length for x39. That's a big plus. Another nice bit is that they have the slightly faster twist rate of 1:9.5 vs the usual 1:10 for x39. That's another plus. Gets better stability in fight for the bullets. I got a couple of these to use for a couple piston kits and piston setups are a bit of a different beast. With lowered buffer weight they're working well. Not too many places make anything over 16" for x39 so these are really great. I do hope they keep getting made since i will get more of them.

just went to the range with my new gun to break in the barrel. So far it shoots great. It was a very easy build. Looking forward to a life time of fun with it

Great product. Fit and finish are as good, or better than barrels that cost much more.The mid-length gas system works great and my rifle cycles perfectly. Accuracy was better than expected even with cheap steel case Russian ammo. I shot about 1 inch groups at 100 yards. I will definitely be looking to buy more KAK products in the future.

This barrel is priced hundreds of dollars under comparable barrels. Green mountain makes some of the most accurate barrels out there... So it was no suprise when I got great groups during initial load development Perfect hunting length & weight...very happy Wish it was available in 6.5 grendel Great job guys keep up the great work

Really like the barrel. It's nice that the gas system is already figured out and works properly. (Bigger hole) most 7.62 barrels ive seen need the hole drilled. I'd definately buy from kak again.

I ran onto KAK when searching for AR barrel options in 7.62x39. Having read a lot on forums and magazine reviews I had the idea that this was going to be a challenge getting an AR in that chambering to run. KAK was a total shot in the dark, having never heard of them or seen mention on a forum/gun magazine. Turns out they communicate well, ship fast and the product is outstanding. First range trip with the assembled rifle was beyond my expectations. While not exactly an amateur builder, I still did not expect this ! The rifle ran flawlessly ! The .125 gas port on this mid length gas system seems perfect (contrary to some of the opinions out there). It ran with factory steel case, brass as well as mid power hand loads . Once dialed in, the barrel posted 3" groups at 100 using iron sights and my less than youthful eyesight. From some of the pairs I shot at 50 while getting the A2 irons zeroed, I have no doubt this barrel will shoot into an inch for me given an optic that is up to it. The chamber is mirror smooth and the bore cleaned up easy with absolutely no sign of burrs. Patched the bore before firing and had a hunch that this was a smooth tube ! Muzzle device timed perfect with a .020" shim washer. Checked the index of the extension pin to the gas port before assembly on my lathe. Dead nuts perfect, indicated less than .0005" ! Fine doin's KAK ! Buy with confidence!
