Excellent for paintball quiet shooting
I was unsure how well this would work, and decided to pull the trigger. It runs reliably at this length with and without a suppressor. I set this up as a poor man's SD, with a tucked 9mm suppressor. Almost all 9mm ammo is subsonic, and accuracy is better than expected. Be aware of the odd thread pattern, although I prefer it over 1/2×28 on 9mm because it leaves more material intact. I have only run ball ammo, but it has been extremely reliable for the 1500 rounds I have put through it so far.

Looks like there is no barrel
I love this thing. I put it on my .30 Luger upper and it looks like there is no barrel installed. Shoots great.
