I ordered a DPMS 308 lower kit which had a mag catch that would not hold the bolt back. After much research I came across this mag catch and truly works better. There is plenty of surface to catch the bolt back. I haven’t fired the rifle yet so I’m not sure how it performs with live rounds, but dry firing and going through functions checks it’s perfect.

Machined perfectly and fits and works great. This is a bargain price.

I ordered a lower parts kit from CMMG which is supposed to be a complete kit for a .308. The bolt catch and mag release do not work with the DPMS so I had to get this. It works as needed. Haven’t taken it shooting yet, but the mag drops fine and stays in the weapon just fine so far after a couple dry runs.

Its a bit pricey but it does what its intended to do,no one can tell the difference between this one and a regular one

Part is longer than standard release and allows the magazine release button to protrude the correct amount from the lower while still allowing the same thread engagement in the button as is seen on an AR-15. Definitely well worth the money.

Like everyone else said, this is exactly the part you need to run any mag release button you want on an Aero Precision M5 lower. I’m using a Battle Arms extended release button with a standard AR spring and it works perfect. I looked at trying the Armalite kit I saw recommended in several places, but it had mixed results. Plus the cost and shipping was more than this part from KAK.
