    Great value and craftsmanship

Posted by Domkratos on June 27, 2022

First of all, for those wondering i ordered my barrel in may of 2022. I was concerned about the gas port size because others had mentioned it. I guess KAK listened to the feedback from customers, because my barrels gas port size was measured at .081. I'm still working on the build, but as of now, it's amazing quality and I'll definitely be championing more KAK products.

    12.5 Mid is Perfect

Got this baby installed with adjustable gas block and H2 buffer. Switching to H3 buffer due to personal preference. Rocking a YHM Turbo K and this thing is beast

    Cheap, Middy, Shorty=Perfection

No need to worry about dwell time with these, as theyre overgassed out of the box. Added a Geissele Super 42 H2 spring and buffer and i have just forward of 3 oclock ejection, which is right where i wanted it. This thing shoots so soft. I love it. 7/5 would buy again.

    Great Barrel

Posted by Deon on March 17, 2020

Very nice machining, shipped on time. Love the mid length gas system. Shoots great for a short barrel. I’ve only got a few rounds though it still breaking in but with some hornady frontier 75gn bthp I was seeing well under inch groups at 50yds. Haven’t gotten a chance to shoot it any farther but from the one hole groups I was getting at 50yds there now doubt this thing will shoot moa. No ammo I tried shot more than 3/4” groups at 50yds

    Great barrel

Measured the gas port at .087 for anyone that is curious. Added a JP clamp on front sight and adjustable gas block. Cycles steel cased ammo in 10f weather without issue. Tuned to run suppressed it would not quite lock back steel cased unsuppressed. Cycles brass cased ammo perfectly unsuppressed. No gas in the face shooting lefty. All done with a tubbz spring and carbine buffer. Amazing barrel for the money. Did not do any accuracy testing but was able to repeatedly hit a 4in plate using iron sights. Set up with a moe handguard.

Very impressed with the look and performance of this barrel runs like a champ. KAK took care of me when USPS lost my package and all they could say was "sorry" KAK said no problem. I highly recommend this barell and KKAK stands by their word and product. Will continue to buy from them as ive already own their blast forwarding device.

    A better Boomstick

Posted by Ronnie on November 12, 2019

Got this to replace a 7.5 inch bbl in order to get some power & velocity back. I'd read where many people had their doubts about the 12.5" mid gas cycling reliably, but so far, I've had no such problems. It's much quieter And, I'm much less likely to shoot my fingers off with this longer barrel. Well built, just right fit to the upper receiver, slick profiling, easy to index the gas port, uniform & strong finish, threads perfect for a muzzle device. So far, I've only shot it to get my sights on, but it's consistent. First product I've purchased from KAK, but I'm a KAK fan now. Only complaint is that the barrel isn't dimpled for gas block attachment.

Top Shelf Quality for Bargain Basement Budget

Posted by Connor on June 26, 2019

This barrel deserves 5 stars just for the price alone, but KAK went to infinity and beyond with this barrel. The price is fantastic, and it shoots well too. My groups are hovering between 1-1.5" MOA with Federal M193 @ 100 yards, which is better than some other barrels I have that cost twice as much. Everything about this barrel exudes quality and attention to details. The only, and I mean ONLY, thing that keeps this barrel from being the best thing to ever be fitted to one of my rifles is that it is EXTREMELY over-gassed. with a standard Carbine buffer and gas block, the ejection pattern is at 2 O'clock, and the amount of gas coming out of the bolt carrier rivals a suppressed MK18. I would highly recommend an adjustable gas block, or a heavier (H1 or H2) buffer, if changing the gas block is not an option. An H1 buffer will put the ejection pattern at 3 o'clock. Please, KAK, if you read these reviews, please shrink the gas port. Your customers' eyes and lungs will thank you for it KAK response. barrel is made to run with cheap 223 steel case as well so nice M193 will be a little overgassed..
