No more bolt bounce. Less felt recoil.

    Does the job

After ordering this piece and while waiting for the test fire I got worried doing more reading that my 16 inch Foxrrot Mike 9mm upper might blow up without a super elaborate adjustable moving weight buffer. But on the first test fire on an Anderson multi cal lower with this on a standard carbine spring the gun passed every function check and did rapid double and triple taps with no hiccups. 50 115 grain Tula and 50 124 grain Blazer Brass running through endomags. Still have to dig up some 147 grain to test but I’m pleased so far with the performance of a simple solid buffer. Also a Very smooth, comfortable recoil impulse.

    Reduced recoil, runs well.

9mm blowback AR, 5.5" barrel. I was looking at getting a hydraulic buffer system for recoil reduction. Gave this a try first, and glad I did. Big reduction in felt recoil. 115 range loads to 147 subsonics all run no problem. No feed or ejection issues. Less dot movement during controlled pairs.

    WOW!! Talk about soft recoil.

Added one of these to my home-built 9mm. It's built using a Vltor A5 buffer tube, an A2 rifle spring, and a 3/4" long aluminum spacer I made. This pistol is now the softest shooting AR I own. It has almost as little recoil as a .22LR AR. I tried ammo from 115 gr. Blazer ball to Winchester 147 gr. +P and the pistol never bobbled once. There are going to be couple more of these buffers in my near future. These 9mm ARs will function with a lighter buffer and the Carbine spring, but not like this combination.

Added to my suppressed AR9. It slowed the blowback down enough that it really made the gun run quieter.

    BEST HEAVY WEIGHT BUFFER

Posted by Scott on January 9, 2020

This buffer works awesome with 40 S&W, 10mm and 45ACP blowback builds. I have two and one weighs just over 11oz and one just under. I would not use anything lighter than 10oz in these builds unless I was running target velocity ammo. My loads are all factory or close to full power reloads.d This buffer has the moving weights that I prefer. Some heavy buffers are solid.

    Tame The Beast

Paired this with a Strike Ind .308 Flat Spring in my .45acp Pistol AR. And it functions fine, no failures no misfeeds just a smooth running machine.
