    Great Barrell

Bought this to replace a no name barrel that was included in a trade I did; that I used for a 45 PCC build. Quality, fit and finish is great so far I have only put about a 100 rounds through it but it groups nice- under 2in @ 25 yards off hand with my generic handloads, I know that with some load development that will get smaller. Like with every KAK product I have bought it has not disappointed me

    Great Barrel

This barrel is fantastic. Did a laser bore sight for a holographic sight.. At 100 yards hits the 6" steel gong every time... with my reloads. Too bad I screwed it up by trying to eliminate feeding issue, which turned out to be the magazines... Live and learn. Was fun while it lasted. I will buy another one when they are available.

    Ecellent barrel

Purchased this specifically because it has a higher twist rate than the standard .45 barrel (1/16). Upon opening the package and looking at the barrel I was impressed at the level of chamfering on the breech of the barrel. Other barrels I have had experience with having far less chamfering and often dent the cartridge as it's fed from the magazine. This of course causes a possibility of early case failure as well as creating a jam problem during the chambering. This barrel does not have that problem. I will still be adding a small polished feed ramp to the barrel to facilitate faster chambering. Overall I like the barrel. Quality machining, no problems with the chamber or muzzle threading. The finish is smooth and without blemish. If you're building at AR45 this is a very good choice.

    Great barrel

In finally building a 45acp upper, I'm glad that I went with this barrel. It's super high quality. Used it with a new frontier 45 glock lower. Here are some pros. Laying on a flat table, there were no apparent warps or bends in the barrel when rolling it. Fit and finish was perfect. Chamber was great too. It has a 1:10 twist rifling which is considerably faster than most other 45acp barrels (they're generally 1:16). In my opinion, it helps a little on the longer range shots because the bullet is more stable if comparing the two because it was spinning faster than the slower twist barrels. While we all know 45acp is not a long range sniper round, but if you can increase some useful range that never hurts either. This is comparing to a 16" barrel on a Thompson (Tommy). The only thing I didn't like about the barrel is that it wasn't threaded 5/8-24. It has the ordinary .578-28 tpi. (HK thread pitch). While not out of place on a 45acp, I personally like 5/8-24 better because it has more meat between the bore and the threads and would offer a lot more choices in rear suppressor mounts. This is just more of my personal preferences, especially if suppressing the gun, but that's not really a deal breaker. Overall, I think it's a great value, especially for the price and I'm glad that I went with your bolt/barrel combo. Thanks for selling these, and thanks for shipping it out so quickly.

    Good barrel.

I rather like this barrel. All fitment points in spec, rifling crisp, chamber properly beveled. Finish was excellent. I haven't shot it extensively, just a basic function test, but I got about 2" groups offhand at 25 yards, which is acceptable for a .45 with iron sights. Should I put on a dot & experiment with loads, It would probably be more accurate. But what I like about it is it's lightweight and allows me to mount a gas block so I can use MagPul handguards. I absolutely hate metal handguards. They're cold in the winter & burning hot if left out in the sun during summer. And, of course, it's priced right! I'd definitely recommend this barrel to someone building a .45 AR15. One thing, since I do plan on playing with loads, I did get an extra-power buffer spring, an H3 buffer & a heavy pistol caliber buffer so I can fine-tune it's cycling.
