KAK 358 Winchester 19" Rifle Gas AR-10 Barrel- Stainless

Bought this barrel for a custom build and man am I more than happy with it. It is very accurate and well made. I will definitely be using KAK again for more builds.

I installed this on my upper the day I received it loaded up 10 rounds with reloader 7 from lowest charger to max just to find were pressure would start. To my surprise it shot all ten different charges in to on ragged hole. I've sence settled on a load running 200gr hornady sp interlocks and at 100 yards it will shoot 1/2 groups if I do my part. Awesome barrel. I wouldn't hesitate to do another build run kak products.

Very good barrel and very accurate. I also like that it was a tight fit in my Mega MaTen upper receiver that I had to heat the receiver with a hairdrier. I like when a barrel exstension fits that tight. Everything else went together well as expected. I don't think you could wrong with KAK barrels.

The only bullet I had on stock was some Speer 250 grain jacketed. I loaded them using H4895 in military case and they were hot. Dang if they didn't shoot a 1/2 inch group at 100 yards. They were cutting one another. I was not only very pleased, but very happy!!

Now that i had a chance to run some groups through this barrel, i wanted to give it a review. This barrel using LC brass necked up liked H4895 the best so far, it gave a .64 group with hornady 200 gr FTX. I shot 2 groups on the low end to check for pressure with that brass and the recoil feels like a 25-06 in my AR10, i love it. The next best group was with imr4320 and it shot a .86 group. I used WLR primers with 4320 and Fed210 with h4895. I did end up with my overall length a little bit shorter than what the book called for but no problems.

I installed this on a PSA AR-10 and ran into a few issues: Palmetto AR-10's seem to only play nice between themselves in spite of being mostly a DPMS copy. Handguards would not work with the nicely pre-drilled dimples for the gas block, so it'll be changed to a free-floating handguard. .358 is an interesting cartridge same as its brother the .35 Whelen, The 19" barrel hasn't been accuracy tested as of this review, which is where it really matters, fit & bead-blasted (stainless) finish are excellent., price shipped was $250

Very happy with barrel, I'm glad you have done your homework on gas vent was perfect. Rifle will shoot both 180 to 250 grain over Varget with a standard gas block. I have had another barrel makers 358 win and had to run a adjustable gas block . I'm sure if running a suppressor may need to adjust block but using a brake it's good to go . Group was less than a inch at a hundred yards. And excited to try this coming deer season.

The KAK barrel is quality and in my opinion, the best deal out there. KAK customer service is great and there are several shipping options to choose from.

Haven’t installed yet but it looks to be great quality machining and the price was right. Will update after gun is built.
