458 SOCOM
I used this in my AR15 458 SOCOM with a Rifle Receiver Extension. I also used a David Tubbs Flat Spring. This Buffer really "Tamed the beast". Nice eject at 3 o'clock abourt 24" away.

Excellent
This buffer dampened the recoil by at least 20% in my .50 Beowulf rifle build, 11/10 would buy again. -L

The way to go
Like other guys, taming and slowing down the action on an AR-LR-10, this 9.3 oz. heavy buffer along with a Tubbs flat wire spring solved the problem of the bolt slamming the reloads into the chamber too fast and hard, it was causing the bullets OAL (overall length) to lengthen by various thousandths. The heavy buffer feels so much smoother, not so snappy when fired. Also, I think I must only live about sixty miles from KAK, and got my buffer the next day after ordering!!

Over gassed.308
Bought Buffer to tame over gas condition with my PSA AR10 .308. Very nice product, great fit and finish. Good price for the quality.

KAK Upper .358 / .308
I have a DPMS AR-308 that consists of mainly KAK upper parts... Barrel, BCG etc. I would have saved money if I'd just bought a complete upper. I put in the Heavy Buffer along with an adjustable gas block after reading some of the reviews here. It made a very noticeable difference with both the .308 and .358 chambering. The recoil is very tolerable and SIGNIFICANTLY less than firing the .308 or .358 in a bolt action. I haven't tried yet, but I could probably fire 100 rounds through my .308, in one afternoon, with no bad after effects. If I had it to do again, I'd buy the individual tungsten weights and just do it that way.

Pretty much perfect
Yeah, you kind of need this. Adjustable gas block plus this buffer will solve early bolt unlock. Pretty inexpensive upgrade considering the rifle will run so much better.

Very good weight, and smoothed out a hot running gun nicely
I bought this buffer because I had a gun that was running extremely hot, eating brass and sending the brass 10 yards in front of me. After putting the heavy buffer in, my brass was landing next to me. I did not have any issues with cycling, and my shoulder no longer has any bruises. I have run about 300 rounds without any issues. I don’t like adjustable gas blocks, and I would rather tune the recoil with springs and weights. This buffer did not require any weight changes and tamed a very aggressive gas system.

It works as intended.
I bought this buffer to mitigate my AR-10’s forward ejection pattern/over gassed effect due to back pressure from shooting suppressed. The product slightly reduced the forward ejection pattern from the 11 o’clock to the 9:30 o’clock position, and the recoil pulse is less snappy and a lot more enjoyable to shoot. Unsuppressed, my rifle was ejecting at around the 7 o’clock position, so I still might try a wolf heavy rifle spring to see if I can tune it even more.

Still haven't found anything better !
Still my goto heavy .308 / 6.5CM heavy rifle length buffer... Very effective to help slow the cyclic speed / unlocking of the bolt, combine this with a Quality Adj. GB...the KAK 9.3oz buffer is still #1 for me and my Large Frame rifle stocked AR's . Since my previous review, I have tried some of the Hydraulic buffers... and gotta say, I prefer Stoners design.. a dead blow buffer like the KAK heavy weight 9.3oz.
