Any normal carry handle, fixed, or flip up rear sight will match the front sight on the tube, we recommend a rear sight that is windage and elevation adjustable so you can establish a precise zero. Front sight is fixed. Red dots will co-witness using the normal mount heights that are the same as AR15 for absolute or 1/3.

You will need to provide a lower receiver built with the included buffer tube kit and bolt catch, upper will work with semi auto lowers as well as transferable or post sample lowers, we cannot guarantee function with the many FRT or super safeties out of the box, tuning may be required.   

A steam condensing can is not required but will allow less signature when you boil the water, a steam hose is provided to go from the water jacket to the can.

This upper functions the same as a air-cooled lima6 upper but has sustained fire capability due to the water jacket.  Water is filled through the red fill plug, the plug is retained by a wire lanyard so it can't be lost in the field.  The barrel will not get hotter then 212 degrees as long as you keep water in the jacket.   When the barrel gets warm and boils the water the steam collects in the top of the water jacket and then travels though the port and down the steam tube into a condensing can if used, this water can be collected and reused in the water jacket.   If no steam hose is used the steam will exit the port into the air making a signature of your position..  No water drain is provided and the gun must be elevated and drained through the fill hole after shooting.   After the water is drained and dried we recommend leaving the fill port open and applying wd-40 or CLP into the water fill hole for long term storage.

Barrels are not field swappable but the upper can be returned and the upper can be serviced including new barrel, o-rings, etc for a fee.
