This device could be one of the best kept secrets in the AR world. For those of us that have to swap buffers when we swap uppers/calibers, but like to use THE SAME buffer retainer and spring each time, this is the greatest invention since the opposable thumb. No more potential PTOOEY and searching in the grass, or wrestling with flat wire springs. Keep one of these in your pistol grip storage, and you'll use it far more often than that spare firing pin. An once of prevention is cheaper than an OOPS kit.

This is one smaal tool that does a big job when it is needed. This tool will allow you to remove your buffer spring and weight, when you are changine or working on that area, without that dredful "ping" that the buffer retainer or that small little spring goes off into flight. Such a hassle to have happen when you are working on your AR! I have been so spolied by this tool, I refuse to work on my buffer tube, spring removal without it. This inexpensive little tool makes flat wire buffer spring installation and removal a breeze!! If you have ever tried to install/remove a flat wire buffer spring over the buffer retention pin, you know how difficult that process is. This tool pushes the pin down allowing the spring to move effortlessly past it. Best thing since sliced bread!!!! Luv it!!
