Configurable Buffer Kit

I bought this kit ,and another spare tube, to build a couple different weight buffers at the same time, to test function in my latest build. Looking at the weight charts I could choose weights to build two different weight buffers, check function and move up or down as necessary. What I didn't think about was, there are not enough rubber spacers to build 2 at once. The other issue is, the roll pins are a PITA to get in and out. So my genius plan went a little off track, but I was still able to find the perfect buffer weight, without having to spend a bunch of money on complete buffers. So KAK... if you are listening, the million dollar idea would be to make a buffer tube and bumpers that could use set screws instead of the roll pins. Then this kit would be perfect as an EASILY adjustable weight buffer

I bought this to remedy my 300BLK which will not fully cycle with 220gr rounds. A lighter buffer does the trick, since my gas system is not adjustable. I can use this buffer under many other configurations depending on set up. I think this is a great idea that provides a lot of weight adjustments which should remedy a tone of situations without messing with the gas system. The price isn't too bad compared to the gas alternatives, and gives me the ability to find a set up that works for what I have. I am going to test out the 1.7oz buffer today on the 300BLK vs the 3oz which failed to chamber the second round, or lock back on last. Just was too heavy, and there are no lighter buffers on the market that I know of!!! If 1.7 if too light, I can try 2.2 I think. Lots of weight combinations, so you should be able to find one that cycles well and doesn't slam the back of the buffer tube. Bravo KAK! Brilliant idea and makes perfect sense as a low-priced and highly versatile alternative. Perfect addition to my AR supply of repair and diagnosis tools. Thanks for putting the power to repair in my hands, I love to tinker in a way that works for me.

Finally a way to configure buffer weight without buying and trying buffers that don't work, until finding one that does work.

I'm very happy with this product. Definitely, I recommend it to anyone who wants to tune their AR-15 rifle.

Liked the fact that it come as a kit & I didn't have to purchase the buffer weights separately.

This is one of those items that makes you wonder why everyone don't have these kits. An AR can be finicky and this product can save a lot of grief. Take a look at how many hours you have tried to figure out what the gun want's to operate reliably. Then divide that into the price. Is your time worth it? - especially if you end up purchasing the kit in the end anyhow.

This kit includes all the items needed to configure for any AR15 buffer weight and is priced reasonably.

This is just the thing if you're tinkering with / massaging your recoil system. Because of the aluminum, steel, and tungsten weights, you can come up with anything from less-than-standard-carbine weight to H3. The quality is first rate and the price for the whole kit is about what you would pay just for a Colt H3 buffer alone. An earlier reviewed mentioned that their roll pin was a little long, but mine are fine.
