This offset buffer retainer is made for lower receivers in which the buffer retainer pin hole was drilled out of spec resulting in too much or too little carrier tail/buffer face contact, which can lead to damage, chatter marks, and beat up buffer edges. This is the solution to fix that issue

Milspec steel 

Properly heat treated for strength 

Black Oxide coating for corrosion resistance

    If your rifle has a sliggt buffer chatter due to improper hole alignment or out of spec lower , than this is your ticket to get the proper distance for your buffer / lower receuver gap. This should always be checked or your buffer will look banged up after the first 20 rds. This pin is your fix.

    This KAK, well machined offset buffer retainer solved the problem I had with an out of spec buffer retainer pocket that was drilled too far back into the receiver. Worked like a champ.     I bought this KAK offset buffer retainer to use in an out of spec lower receiver that had the retainer pocket drilled about 1/16" to far back into the receiver tower. The KAK offset retainer fixed the problem with buffer chatter and bolt slam which was being caused by the out of spec lower. I'm going to buy more to use on other pieces that don't seem to present the correct amount of buffer to bolt tail contact when closing the upper. Thank you KAK INDUSTRY for a great and economical way to make good use of an out of spec lower.

    Have a Springfield Saint Victor lower that was chewing up my buffer around the edges. This was the fix for that. You cannot use an anti tilt buffer tube, so be aware of that. Make sure you use a standard buffer tube.

    The offset buffer retainer worked perfectly for the added foldable stock attachment that made the specs to be off a bit. Now it works the way it should.
