This offset buffer retainer is made for lower receivers in which the buffer retainer pin hole was drilled out of spec resulting in too much or too little carrier tail/buffer face contact, which can lead to damage, chatter marks, and beat up buffer edges. This is the solution to fix that issue
Milspec steel
Properly heat treated for strength
Black Oxide coating for corrosion resistance

This solved my problem with my 308. No more buffer wear and no more stove pipes. Very happy

Offset buffer retainer
The offset buffer retainer worked perfectly for the added foldable stock attachment that made the specs to be off a bit. Now it works the way it should.

Great with Law Folder
I ordered a law folder, and a mil-spec retainer didn’t catch well on the buffer tube. Tolerance stacking, I guess. Either way, this product solved that issue immediately. My buffer and spring are now retained perfectly.

Great Solution
I have an old Bushmaster AR that had been retired. Recently, I changed out the upper and started shooting it again. I noticed that the buffer was getting beat up. I tried different BCG's from other rilfes, but the buffer was still not resting forward enough. I ordered this pin and installed it. Now, the buffer is sitting in the right position and is not getting hit by the pin.
