A1 REAR SIGHT APERTURE KIT

Overall this sight kit is good. Most everything fits together well and looks great on an A1 upper. There was only one complaint, the roll pin hole on the sight wheel is a bit undersized. I was having a very hard time trying to start the roll pin. I took a 1/16" drill bit and found it wouldn't go in. I reamed the hole out with the bit and the roll pin easily went in after that. Not a big issue, but one that can make a difference.

This is a very good-looking A1 rear sight assembly for your retro build. It has the period correct manganese phosphate finish, the numbers on the dial are easily readable and installation was a breeze, once I figured out to hold the aperture all the way over to the right side of the carry handle, while installing the windage screw. Otherwise, the screw head will not be flush (tight against) the upper receiver's carry handle, nor will the hole in the shaft of the windage screw protrude far enough out the opposite side of the carry handle for the hole in the windage wheel to align with it in order for the retaining roll pin to be installed. I would definitely purchase this product again and I highly recommend it to everyone needing an A1 rear sight. Very good quality, the hole for the roll pin was very tight, after breaking the first pin I drilled out the holes on the adjustment wheel and fit a new pin no problem
