OE-SPEC "Bloodmaker" 7.62X39- 11" Carbine Gas AR-15 Barrel- Nitride

I’ve built ARs in 6 other calibers so decided I needed a 7.62x39 for using cheap ammo. I set my expectations low since I heard this caliber isn’t super accurate and this is a “value” barrel. I was way off. This is a beautifully machined barrel, gas function/dwell time is perfect with standard spring/buffer, and accuracy was very good. Not 6.5 Grendel tight but I’m never going to shoot this over150 yards and can put up fist sized groups with no effort at all. Maybe my new favorite plinker especially since it handles the cheap Tula and Monarch stuff so well

Only been out a couple times but it’s a solid purchase. Paired this with a rtb bolt and got 2-3” with Tula. Not one failure yet and have around 300 rounds.

I haven’t fired thru this barrel yet but physically it looks well machined and finished. The best part of dealing with KAK is the very fat response time to questions. I’ll try to update this review after I put some amm thru it.

I was hoping for a half decent barrel for decent price and I got a great deal on this barrel. MOA results with junk tula 122gr hollowpoints ammo. Ringing steel at 200yds consistently. When I start another build itll get a KAK barrel too.

This barrel along with the KAK Ind. 7.62x39 Bolt make a great combo. for an AR build put mine together along with standard carbine spring and buffer. I am able to fire brass and steel ammo without problem. I also used AR type trigger and hammer with a good strong hammer spring.

I wanted to build a short 7.62x39 upper for my SBR lower to play around with some cheap steel cased soft points, but didn't want to spend a fortune. I looked in the parts barrel and had everything I needed but the short barrel. I ordered the 11" from KAK and threw the upper together with a spare EOTech and stepped outside to my range. After a quick sight in, I was hitting the 500 yard steel plate with every shot. I was shooting steel cased soft points and did not have one fail to feed. Not only is this a quality barrel, it's accurate and very affordable.

Excellent BCG, using it with a KAK Industries 7.62x39 BCG and both are heavy duty. Added both to an Aero Upper, a perfect match at the feedramps, finish is great, tested with Tula and everything was perfect. A worry free build thanks to KAK Industries. Also their service is the best.

I'd wanted to build a 7.62x39 upper for a while, but too many other builds always come first (yes, I need an intervention). Finally picked up this BBL for an SBR build. Got it assembled and out to the range. First trip out I could tell it was going to need to be tamed a bit. Took off the fixed gas black and put on a SLR Sentry 7 Adjustable Gas block that I typically use. The Sentry 7 (surprise!) has a feeder hole that is substantially smaller than the actual gas port on the BBL, which took it from over-gassed to under-gassed (with the gas block all the way open). Tore it apart, put the fixed gas block back on and dropped in a Spikes heavy buffer. Now it runs just peachy (Wolf Poly, Wolf WPA, Golden Bear, Silver Bear, Tula and Herterz) with all the ammo I tried. Accuracy with steel cased ammo is quite pleasant (~2MOA at 50M with my old eyes and irons). Runs like a top now and, as usual, quite pleased with KAK's Value Line of barrels. I have several and this newest one lived up to my expectations of performance.
