Quality
I’m happy with my purchase and understand the 338 ARC a lot better now that’s it’s in my hand. Fitment, finish and machining was excellent. This barrel cycled and shot to point of aim at about 1 moa or better freehand. It is ported for subs but runs supersonic as well. An adjustable gas block is highly recommended. I was not shooting suppressed and so my handloads required use of my lightweight Bolt Carrier and it then function fine with both the 220 Grain Speer Hot-Cor and the 300grn SMK, same charge of Shooters World Blk. I went ahead and got KAK’s 7.5” handguard and their 5” flash can to put that concussion further out and direct it and the sound away. This by far is the softest shooter I own of any black rifle cartridge. I can imagine suppressed would be awful quiet about is a soft shooter. For its intended purpose and design the 338 ARC is gonna be hard to beat in the short, suppressed, subsonic genre which is its primary role. What’s not to like about a 300grn high bc bullet rolling along subsonic, using 12 grains of powder, quiet as a mouse acoustically and mechanically. It’s a soft shooter in this form for sure. Looking forward to future developments and trying additional loadings. Great work KAK!!!

338 Arc 8.5" = Wow
I’ve been using the new 338 Arc 8.5” KAK barrel on my AR, and it’s a suppressed hunting game changer. I'm super impressed for such a compact barrel. The build quality is solid, and it fits perfectly in my setup. Highly recommend for anyone looking to boost performance without compromising on size and it's just a plain dream to shoot.
